The tumbler marker is used to mark your drinking glass on board so that you don't get confused with the glasses of other colleagues. 
Trolley stickers are often used as markings, but it is very difficult to remove the sticker and many glasses therefore end up in the garbage can. That costs a lot of money and harms the environment.
